Why do I keep failing to build habits?
You're not lacking discipline. You're probably making one of four common mistakes. Here's how to spot which — and fix it.
If you keep failing to build habits, it's almost never a discipline problem. It's usually one of four fixable design problems: the habit is too big, it has no cue, it's tracked in a punishing way, or you picked the wrong habit for your life right now.
1. The habit is too big
Fix: shrink it to under two minutes. Any habit you can't do on your worst day is too big.
2. It has no cue
Fix: attach it to an existing routine. 'After my coffee', not 'in the morning'.
3. Streak-based tracking is punishing you
Fix: track consistency (e.g. 24 of 30 days), not perfect streaks.
4. You picked the wrong habit
Fix: pick habits you can keep on your worst day, not the ones that sound impressive.
Habit of the Day is designed around all four fixes. Try the onboarding.

Habit of the Day tracks consistency, not streaks — no guilt, no broken-streak spirals.
